Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Materials Manager this position is responsible for all functions related to production/manufacturing labeling.  Those responsibilities include printing the traveler packages, reviewing the traveler packages for accuracy, and printing the corresponding production labels.  Lot control sheets must be reviewed and label counts must be reconciled at the conclusion of each production lot.  Other responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining accurate label inventory counts to support all production requirements, control label revisions so that only current revisions are being used as per the active bills of material, removing scrap from inventory when job is complete and managing label suppliers, initiate order requirements and expedite deliveries of labels when necessary.  Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize workload.  Recommend improvements to practices or procedures to increase the accuracy and efficiency of the labeling function.

Essential Job Functions
1. Print traveler packages for all production lots.
2. Print labels for all corresponding production lots.
3. Reconcile all production related labels via label reconciliation form prior to shipments release.
4. Control inventory of labels to support production.  Maintaining sufficient quantities of the appropriate revisions in order to support production requirements.  
5. Notify Materials Department of any label discrepancies between the physical inventory and the perpetual inventory in the ERP system. 
6. Perform cycle counts monthly on all labels to insure the accuracy of the perpetual inventory system.

Requirements

Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, there may be some physical demands such as inventory cycle counts that would require the ability to lift cartons, climb a step ladder and bend or stand as necessary.  There may be other non-sedentary functions.
