Nissha is seeking a Packaging Inspector for 1st Shift (7:30A-3:30P) in our ECG department!

Starting at $16.25 per hour.

Job Summary:
Pack products and/or assembly kit together
1. Ensure final product meets specifications prior to packaging 
2. Package product according to drawing

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Pack products in an in-line packaging operation (i.e. feeding pouch machine)
    1. Performs final inspection of labeling to ensure consistent with lot paperwork
    2. Performs final inspection of packaging including identification of defects
    3. Documents defects as applicable
    4. Communicates inspection findings to area management/ QA
    5. Documents finished packaged products as inspected
  2. Pack products in an in an off-line environment (off-line packing)
  3. Putting kits together (i.e. holter kits, stress kits, etc)
  4. Assist with housekeeping tasks (put raw materials back on the shelf, general cleanup)
  5. May occasionally assist in material movement (hand/fork truck, material distribution, etc).
  6. Interpret shop paperwork and drawings (read and calculate)

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school education
  • Minimum of 60 days related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to read instructions, specifications and drawings required to accomplish assignments.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Requirements

Continuously (75-100%) = C, Frequently (50-75%) = F, Occasionally (25-50%) = O, Rarely (0-25%) = R

 

Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.

Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Also includes finger dexterity.

Bending: Stooping, crouching, full back and leg flexibility.

Kneeling: Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees.

Lifting: Picking up and movement of objects. May involve carrying as well.
