Description

We are looking for a HR Officer to join us in our busy UK headquarters here in Paignton, Devon.

Role Description.

Liaising with our external HR consultancy to ensure all policies and procedures, forms and handbooks are up-to-date and available to employees and managers.

Assisting with the recruitment process, from writing adverts, shortlisting, interviews to offer stage.  

Ensuring Terms & Conditions of Employment reflect the employee’s current employment status.

Administering all onboarding and leaver processes for permanent and temporary staff, including the right to work, issuing of contracts and starter paperwork, delivering inductions, and exit interview processes.

Regular issue of reports for senior management plus KPIs.

Dealing with employee requests for information.

Attend formal employee relations meetings including probation reviews.

Managing and progressing all disciplinary, grievance, attendance and capability cases with managers to conclusion.

Provide day to day advice to managers on employee relations matters and staffing issues.

Keep up to date with relevant legal developments and advise management on compliance and risk factors.

Working effectively with payroll to ensure changes are captured and to resolve any queries.

Absence management including conducting all employee return to works and monitoring absences.

Monitor and review performance appraisal cycle.

Accurately filing all HR documentation and management of HR files.

Development and administration of UK benefits packages.

Take ownership of the Employees Events Programme.

Updating and monitoring Staff Noticeboards.

All other tasks as directed by the Manager.

Ability to multitask and be flexible.

Pro-active and self-motivated.

 

Education level required/desired.

CIPD Qualification preferred.  

Fluent in written and spoken English essential.

Ideally, previous experience as a HR Officer in a business environment.
