POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for training new Production Associates in various areas of production on processes and equipment while also performing Production Associate tasks as needed. This role will work through a “Train the Trainer” regimen to become well-versed in all manufacturing tasks and job duties across the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  • Provide new and existing Production Associates with training and guidance on various Associate tasks and operations in multiple product areas. This includes monitoring and following up with Associates on their needs and progress throughout the assigned shift.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and evaluations required for employee training working closely with Quality and Document Control.
  • Communicate effectively with Management and Leads regarding new employee development, progress, areas of concern, etc.
  • Participate in orienting the new Associate to Nissha Medical Technologies by providing Associates with a positive view of the position, Management, and working at Nissha.
  • Create PowerPoint Training Modules of various Manufacturing Procedures.
  • Create other training materials (handouts, signage, posters, slides, etc.).
  • Communicate and work closely with production leadership to observe, document, photograph, discuss and understand manufacturing procedures and processes.
  • Ensure employee training records (Training Protocols and Forms) are maintained and kept current including maintenance and management of the LMS (iLearn) system.
  • Participation in or facilitation of training sessions as necessary.
  • Development and implementation of various manufacturing and safety training programs.
  • Assist engineering with process validations.
  • Interpret production paperwork for accurate product manufacturing and shipment; prepare finished product for shipment.
  • Perform quality check throughout all production stages and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety rules and policies including OSHA and ISO requirements.
  • Works well with various internal and external Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other support disciplines to perform troubleshooting, data collection and to resolve assembly problems.
  • Regular attendance is required.

As Production Support:

  • Demonstrates knowledge and acts in accordance with NMT’s Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT’s Quality Manual.
  • Build product according to Work Instruction and Bill of Material.
  • Accurately complete Traveler and all other associated documentation for each product.
  • Perform initial review for quality.
  • Move product to the appropriate next stage of production.
  • Follow all Quality Control procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None.
Education
  • GED or High School diploma.
  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience and/or exceptional demonstrated ability to effectively train and work with others.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a constructive, positive manner with others in a team environment.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, and execute production orders and operating procedures.
  • Ability to identify problems, recommend solutions, and implement results.
  • Knowledge of all production areas and packaging equipment.
  • Ability to effectively and appropriately communicate with Management and Supervision regarding employee development.
  • Proven ability to effective train others.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
  • Frequently move between buildings and offices.
  • Frequently operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend stairs to access work areas.
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 45 pounds.
