It's an exciting time to join our team, and we're hiring for an Automation Lead role. This position is responsible for assisting in leading our Automation team in the design and build of custom automated equipment. This is an exempt role, and core hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading the Automation team through example and mentorship in the design and build of custom automated equipment
- Participate in the management of automation design and builds and provide updates to internal stakeholders
- Lead assigned automation projects through concept development, design, fabrication, assembly, run-out, and delivery
- Create documentation for automation projects including: models, drawings, schematics, user manuals, maintenance guides, acceptance testing protocols, and validation protocols.
- Participate in concept development and feasibility testing for prospective projects
- Effectively communicate solutions to the sales team and support as needed in the creation of customer proposals
- Maintain an awareness of new and cutting-edge technologies available to utilize in support of customer needs
- Collaborate with design group on projects to ensure highest possibility of project success
- Foster a collaborative environment where all members of the team are contributing, fulfilled, and appreciate the attention to detail required to be successful
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of automation mechanical design and build experience preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of automation control system design and build experience preferred
- Automation programming experience highly preferred including HMI, PLC, vision systems, robots
- Medical device industry experience ISO13485 highly preferred
- Injection molding industry experience highly preferred
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD software
- High level of communication skills including listening, verbal, and written
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment/operator requirements
- High level of integrity and ethics that aligns with Isometric Core Values
- Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality
- High level proficiency with MS Office Suites
