It's an exciting time to join our team, and we're hiring for a full-time Staff Accountant at our New Richmond, WI location. This role is ideal for a well-rounded accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys a variety of responsibilities. The hours for this position are during core business hours, 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Payroll (Lead):
  • Collect and track detailed time information
  • Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately and on time
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Coordinate with HR on employee changes, benefits, and deductions
  • Prepare payroll reports and assist with year-end filings (e.g., W-2s, 941s)
  • Prepare reports to support audits, projects and other ad-hoc requests
Accounts Receivable (Lead):
  • Generate and issue customer invoices and statements
  • Monitor receivables, follow up on past-due accounts, and manage collections
  • Apply payments and reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger
  • Maintain accurate customer records and aging schedules
General Ledger:
  • Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation
  • Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
  • Support financial reporting and audit preparation
Accounts Payable (Backup) : 
  • Provide support for invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor communications
  • Step in during absences or high-volume periods to ensure timely AP operations

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience with direct payroll and AR responsibilities
  • Proficiency in accounting and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, NetSuite)
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience in ERP systems and automated payroll platforms
  • Knowledge of GAAP and payroll compliance regulations
  • Prior experience in a cross-functional accounting role
