It’s an exciting time to join our team, and we’re hiring for a Sinker EDM Specialist.This role is responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of CNC Sinker EDM Machine Centers, critical to the fabrication of precision tooling components.The hours for this position are Monday–Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC Sinker EDM Machine Centers
- Optimize process to achieve efficiency, accuracy, and finish call-out
- Receive daily instructions from Production/Operations Manager and plan day accordingly
- Perform daily maintenance, check on machines, and promptly report concerns to Production Supervisor
- Use proper set-up for maximum efficiency and precision based on finish and specification
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Meet agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner
- Adhere to procedures and guidelines as specified in Quality Management System
- Strong communication/collaboration skills to operate efficiently between departments and team cultured environment.
- Check work to ensure they meet specifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate or Technical degree in Machine Tooling or a related field
- 3+ years of Sinker EDM experience
- Knowledge of geometric tolerancing practices
- Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of Sinker EDM programming, burning, and finishes
- Must be able to set-up and operate Sinker EDM machines to ±.0001” precision.
- Ability to operate precision measurement devices.
