Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency while providing excellent customer service.
 

Responsibilities

· Perform the day to day mechanical and electrical maintenance of plant equipment to include printing & folding machinery and also hybrid automatic production machines and associated ancillary equipment, ensuring continuity of production

· Strong electrical/mechanical knowledge with proven experience of working within a maintenance programme whilst dealing with day-to-day breakdowns, faults and repairs

· Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults that occur on plant and/or electrical equipment.

· Assist in maintenance programme for all plant and/or equipment (hydraulics, robots, ancillary)

· Validate new plant equipment and upgrades

· Process/equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis

· Ensure all items of plant and/or equipment is in good safe working order

· Strive to improve the efficiency and safety of plant and equipment

· Maintain a high standard of record keeping for all repairs and servicing of plant and/or equipment as required for audit, traceability and warranty purposes
 

Skills

· Must have experience in production machinery equipment servicing

· Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical engineering / maintenance

· A good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electronic/electrical automation controls.

· Qualified electrician with 16th/17th/18th Edition regulations or equivalent

· Logic fault-finding & problem-solving skills

· Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

· Experience of reactive maintenance

· Troubleshooting problems on various types of equipment

· Focused team player with the aim to further improve the departmen
