Job Summary
The New Product Development Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing NMT’s business process for converting new opportunities into active projects. This position will align the proposal development efforts, planning and execution, by participating in Business Development and Customer acquisition strategy teams. Functionally, the role requires supporting Business development with pre-RFQ screening and evaluation, development and delivery of business proposals and transfer into Program Management. Overall, this role serves as a corporate subject matter expert and authority figure for the Nissha Medical Technologies – CDMO proposal development process.

Management & Team Building Responsibilities
- Develop global structure for executing on New Product Development processes and procedures.
- Foster a positive and responsive team environment that can quickly adjust to dynamic schedules and requirements.
- Provide insight, leadership, and work guidance to all participants developing content for business proposals and project definition aligned with NMDM strategy
- Drive accountability to all participants on:
- The quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the proposal inputs.
- Alignment to corporate standards for costing, pricing, formatting, and terms & conditions for outgoing proposal documents.
- Recognize the big picture without overlooking the details.
- Works closely with business development teams inspect new opportunity process effectiveness to identify opportunities for improvement and alignment to strategy for various opportunity types.
- Facilitates the communication and understanding of process bottlenecks and inconsistencies, for the purpose of prioritizing and implementing continuous improvement activities.
- Utilizes reporting capabilities and support data accuracy aligned with our organization’s compliance standards for maintaining CRM system.
- Spearhead cost estimating activities and standards by collaborating with internal supply chain, material, and engineering teams to understand cost impact of customer requirements and provide sales support.
- Develops KPI’s, publishes performance Metrics associated with proposal development teams performance and the associated business development KPI’s.
- Manage and sustain the process to support lessons learned and implement actions to improve process efficiency for proposal development
- Maintain dialogue and align with cross functional teams to support opportunities focused on costing. Includes the authority to implement and execute necessary changes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the new product development processes and have a significant voice in cross functional operations.
- Audit, adjust and train as appropriate for the working functions of:
- New Business screening and evaluations
- Proposal Development process
- New Project kick-off and transition into active program pipeline
- 7-10 years experience managing a cross-functional team, preferably in Matrix organization
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or engineering field of study, advanced degree desirable (can be supplemented with relevant prior work experience)
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to create and scale repeatable teams and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven ability to navigate through complex and ambiguous situations
- Strong organization and management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others at varying levels of seniority and cross-functional departmental boundaries and to exercise influence to achieve a cohesive approach to development of new business proposals.
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple deadlines, and engage in decisive and effective decision-making.
- Establish timelines, many of which will have short turnaround times, coordinating with multiple departments to produce timely results.
- Ability to create a business culture of teamwork which is results oriented, customer focused, and driven to deliver quality proposals.
