Description
Nissha Medical Technologies is looking for a Metrology/Quality Control Supervisor to join our Quality Team at our Colorado Springs location!

The Metrology/QC Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising the QC team to inspect a variety of parts and products to ensure conformance with customer requirements. He or she provides support to new product development, continuous improvement, manufacturing, and quality operations including Quality Engineering activities..

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES (other duties may be assigned)

General:

  • Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and or regulations are met.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and act in accordance with NMT’s applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT’s Quality Manual.
  • Ensures compliance with cGMP and established procedures in all areas of the company.
  • Maintain a high level of documentation that is clear and understandable, contains pertinent and accurate information, and will promote confidence with customers and auditors.
  • Abide by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies.
  • Regular attendance is required.

Supervision:

  • Oversee QC and metrology personnel and activities at NMT Colorado Springs.
  • Manage the Quality Lab, MRB Hold Area, and associated functions within.
  • Ensure inspection and metrology task schedule adherence, including rescheduling and/or reassigning tasks as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to other team members.
  • Train new inspectors and technicians as needed.
  • Facilitate ongoing training for team members to increase skill set in the department.

Metrology:

  • Function as a subject matter expert for measuring systems in conjunction with the development and process engineers.
  • Develop measurement procedures for new product components, including programming of vision and coordinating measuring systems for inspection purposes.
  • Ensure programs are controlled in accordance with change control practices and requirements.
  • Support and/or execute software and test method validation activities as needed.
  • Conduct GR&R studies and measure parts.
  • Interpret drawings including GD&T.
  • Work in conjunction with engineering, production, and quality in the development and maintenance of inspection and test procedures.
  • Use statistics to analyze measurement standards and processes.
  • Fixture design and implementation.
  • Provide support for other NMT sites as needed.

Quality Engineering:

  • Investigate and analyze manufacturing, customer, and supplier problems as assigned.
  • Identify and help implement improvement activities.
  • Assist in troubleshooting quality control issues in engineering and production.
  • Participate in and support internal and external audits as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/education
  • Certificate from College or Technical School involving metrology preferred
  • 5 years of related experience preferred, specifically with metrology
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Previous Quality Engineer experience preferred
  • Ability to work on problems of diverse scope to analyze situation and review identifiable factors
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with typical handheld and mechanical measurement equipment
  • Experience with optical comparator and CMM programming preferred
  • Experience reading and interpreting drawings including GD&T
  • Knowledge of Minitab preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Acts with sound and proactive decision making, seeks clarification as appropriate to minimize/eliminate delays
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to apply logical and systematic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines.
The established Compensation for this position will be $80,000-$90,000 annually (paid on a bi-weekly basis) depending on qualifications and experience.
