Description

Nissha is seeking a Full-Time Machine Operator II for 2nd shift (3:30P-11:30PM) Monday - Friday in our Strip department.

$17.50 + $1.50 shift premium = $19 per hour

Summary:
Set up, and ensure continuous operation of multi-cut slitting machines, metal manufacturing machines or semi-automated and automated marker manufacturing equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Set up and independently operate multi-cut slitting machines with close tolerance specifications for finished product, metal manufacturing machines, semi-automated or automated marker manufacturing equipment.
  2. Maintain continuous machine operation, performing troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, and repair tasks, contacting Supervision if needed.
  3. Use print and work instructions to perform machine set up and operate equipment within the set quality standards.
  4.  Review job tickets and verify materials are available and used as specified, monitoring and maintaining inventory levels.
  5. Use required measuring instruments (scales, micro scales, calipers, and densitometer).
  6. Perform other tasks associated with the manufacturing of items including various packaging, assembly, and finishing tasks.
  7. Ensure compliance with company safety rules and policies including OSHA and ISO requirements.
  8.  Communicate and coordinate as necessary with other departments including maintenance, warehouse, quality, etc.
  9.  Complete required paperwork and quality sign offs.
  10. Inspect finished product for any imperfections or irregularities making adjustments as needed.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • GED or High School diploma
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience, with an emphasis on prior machine operation experience and a mechanical aptitude.

  • Must be able to read, comprehend, and execute production orders and operating procedures.

  • Ability to assemble and work with small parts.
  • Strong ability and aptitude to learn.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and react quickly to operating issues.

Physical Requirements:

Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. 75-100%

Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Also includes finger dexterity. 75-100%

Bending: Stooping, crouching, full back and leg flexibility. 50-75%

Kneeling: Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees. 0-25%

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. 75-100%

Lifting: Picking up and movement of objects. May involve carrying as well. 50-75%

Climbing: Ascending or descending using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. 0-25%

Vision: Ability to see and recognize detail. (Corrected or uncorrected.) 75-100%

Repetitive Motion: Recurring movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. 75-100%

Pushing/Pulling: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to provoke movement, or to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. 50-75%

Twisting: Moving in a contorted motion, usually involving the back, and usually repeatedly. 75-100%

Sitting: Remaining seated for a period of time, in one position. 0-25%
