Description
Nissha Medical Technologies is looking for a Process Engineer III with injection molding experience to join our Team at our Colorado Springs facility!
This position will support product design, tooling design, manufacturing development, and manufacturing. The idea Candidate will be an experienced Process Engineer that possesses and applies a broad knowledge of manufacturing processing principles, practices, and procedures to the completion of difficult assignments. We are seeking someone who is skilled in injection molding and mold tooling, mechanical design, process development, process validation, and process troubleshooting. This role will work under limited supervision and have broad responsibility to perform process engineering work that is varied and difficult in nature. Evaluation, originality, and ingenuity is required. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and or regulations are met.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and acts in accordance with NMT’s Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT’s Quality Manual.
  • Leads specific Manufacturing process improvement and development activities as assigned
  • Designs and documents fixtures, tooling, and automation to meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Participates in material selection, design reviews, and processing equipment selection.
  • Perform and document process development, process characterization, process validation and process trouble shooting.
  • Writing protocols and reports documenting process validation activities and results.
  • May lead manufacturing process activities or projects.
  • Evaluating process results versus manufacturing requirements.
  • Coordinating and scheduling process activities with various required groups within organization
  • Producing production work instructions and training Production personnel on new processes and procedures.
  • Participates in project teams and conference calls while representing company to the customer.
  • Support Manufacturing operations with equipment set-ups and troubleshooting
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Abides by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies.
  • Regular attendance is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics Processing or related degree (preferred)
  • Advanced degree in Engineering (preferred)
  • Skilled in mechanical design and CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
  • 5 or more years engineering experience with 3 years experience in plastic injection molding including molding process development and characterization.
  • Experience designing manufacturing fixtures, tools and equipment.
  • 4 or more years’ experience in manufacturing process development, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience designing, documenting, and conducting engineering studies and writing reports
  • Experienced in statistical analysis, DOEs, and process capability statistics.
  • Strong problem solving skills and efficient management of time and resources
  • Experience operating and setting up injection molding equipment (preferred)
  • Ability to operate injection molding equipment
  • Experience performing mold flow analysis (preferred)
  • Experience working in a Medical Device manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing processes (preferred)
The established Compensation for this position will be $80,000 to $95,000 per year (paid on a bi-weekly basis) depending on qualifications and experience.
