We are currently accepting applications for Mold Polisher in our New Richmond, Wisconsin location.  Day Shift Mon-Fri.

Summary

The Mold Polisher is responsible for producing high-quality hand polished finish to mold detail.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Hand profiles and shapes materials using a microscope and small hand-held diamond finishing tools according to engineering drawings and collaborative instruction.
  • Optimize process to achieve efficiency, accuracy, and finish call-out.
  • Receive daily instructions from Production / Operations Manager and plan day accordingly.
  • Check work to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.
  • Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to procedures and guidelines as specified in Quality Management System.
  • Performs work with meticulous high-level accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assemble and disassemble molds for cleaning.
  • Ability to hand fit critical areas within a mold.

Education and/or Experience:

  • 2+ years of polishing experience
  • Knowledge of geometric tolerancing.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to operate precision measurement devices.
  • Previous experience using microscope to view and polish small hand-held items.
  • Understand burning requirements for multiple types of tool steels for both pre-hard and hard milling.
  • Knowledge of tool design and understanding of fit and function of mold components.
  • CAD / CAM experience a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
