Note: Swing Shift Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery and equipment. This role ensures that all machinery operates efficiently and complies with safety and operational standards. The Maintenance Technician works closely with the Maintenance Lead to support the preventative maintenance program and provide technical assistance to other departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on production machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure that all maintenance activities comply with company and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with production staff to understand and address machinery-related issues.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Maintenance Lead in executing the preventative maintenance program.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure all tools and maintenance equipment are properly maintained and stored.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment used in maintenance.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail oriented with attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong initiative and self-directed.
