- Ability to mount multiple types of plates on several types of media.
- Use of Digital Workflow systems to generate film and plates.
- Ability to change out large and small cylinders.
- Perform routine maintenance on plate making equipment.
- Read and understand daily press schedules.
- Technical problem solving (process & equipment)
- Report shift activities.
- Cover alternate shifts if needed.
- Read and understand proof docs, factory orders, job jackets and plate orders.
- ...
- High School education (technical emphasis)
- Knowledge of pertinent ISO procedures
- Good mechanical. Math, communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical problem-solving skills
- 2 years previous platemaking experience preferred
- Good understanding of/good computer skills
