Description
Nissha Medical technologies is looking for a Machinist I to join our Colorado Springs Team!

This is an entry-level Machinist position responsible for providing support for the Manufacturing and Engineering Departments. Primary duties include performing Production machining jobs, performing injection mold preventive maintenance, and fabricating Production tools and fixtures. This role works under general supervision of the Tooling Lead on multiple assignments of moderate scope and low to moderate complexity. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and or regulations are met.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and acts in accordance with Nissha’s Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in Nissha’s Quality Manual.
  • Manufacture parts, fixtures and tooling accurately conforming to prints and or CAD models.
  • Interpret drawings, assembly specifications and tooling requests accurately.
  • Operate tool room machines and equipment in a safe manner and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Responsible for the good operation, maintenance, and upkeep of all tool room equipment.
  • Track time and materials used on tooling jobs and ensure all are recorded accurately as required.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and debugging operational issues with molds, tools, fixtures and processes.
  • Participates in Tooling Design Reviews.
  • Operate lifting equipment.
  • Work with direct supervisor to support the achievement of departmental and company objectives.
  • Work within 5S methodologies to maintain workplace to highest standards.
  • Abide by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • AS degree in machining; or, completion of certified machining apprenticeship program or equivalent training; or, a minimum of 2 years industry machining experience.
  • Must be familiar with metal working and production equipment, including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, cut off and band saws and sinker EDM.
  • Proficient with CAD software (Solid Works) and CAM programming.
  • Ability to use standard Microsoft Office programs.
  • Familiar with ANSI and ISO drawing standards / practices and standard tool room inspection equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages and the applications of basic Geometry and Trigonometry.
  • An understanding of machining techniques and processes, as well as various raw materials and their uses
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills required to read specifications, engineering drawings, and development documents.
  • Robust interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mechanical ability; experience with calipers and other measuring equipment.
  • Detail oriented and accurate.
  • Accountable, dependable, and adaptable personality characteristics.
  • Ability to cohesively work with a group/team; ability to work as an individual.
The established Compensation for this position will be $20.00-$23.00 per hour (paid on a weekly basis) depending on qualifications and experience.
