Nissha Medical Technologies is looking for an Extrusion Operator to join our Colorado Springs Team! 
The Extrusion Operator will perform machine set-up for orders; safely operate machines to quality standards and production and waste targets; and trouble shoot machines when they are down or not performing to standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES (other duties may be assigned)

• Follows all employee guidelines and Quality Systems Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards regulations are met.
• Demonstrates knowledge and acts in accordance with NMT’s Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT’s Quality Manual.
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing setup and operation procedures to conform to standard operating procedures.
• Operates machine within standard production targets and waste limits
• Trouble shoots machine when down or not performing to standard
• Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance
• Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System
• Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member
• Ensures work area is kept clean according to facility and corporate standards
• Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met
• Manufactures product to conform to specification.
• Complete documentation in accordance to standard operating procedures.
• Maintain production outputs and processes.
• Contributes to team efforts for process and product improvement.
• Abides by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies
• Regular attendance is required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• One-year certificate from college or technical school.
• A minimum of two years of extrusion operations or related experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The established Compensation for this position will be $17.00 to $25.00 per hour (paid on a weekly basis) depending on qualifications and experience.
