Job Summary
The Benefits Manager reports directly to the VP of Human Resources and oversees the Benefits & Payroll Specialist. This position has full responsibility and management of the Health/Wellness Benefits, Payroll, and 401k for all Nissha US locations. This role will lead strategic planning, budgeting, design, analysis, modification, administration, communication, and management of all covered benefits and retirement programs.

Essential Job Functions
Benefits 
1. Administrator to health and wellness benefit plans for all US locations.
2. Partnering with Brokers to develop recommendations for new benefit plans or modify existing plans to maintain company's competitive position in the labor market.
3. Lead Open Enrollment initiation to create an optimal employee experience. 
    - This includes employee support, system readiness, revising and reissuing all communication materials, etc.
4. Administer and complete all benefits compliance activities, including but not limited to, negotiating and finalizing rates, 1095/1094 prep and filing, medical and prescription claim reviews, addressing inquiries etc.
5. Ensure that all health and wellness benefit plans are managed according to company policies and procedures.
6. Research and stay up to date on health and welfare benefits plan industry trends.
7. Oversees wellness initiatives.

401K
8. Administrator to US 401K Plan.
9. Administer and complete all 401k compliance activities, including but not limited to, non-discrimination testing, reviews, 5500 filings, signing amendments required annual mailings, overseeing data collection for plan annual plan audit, etc.
10. Coordinate training sessions for all locations.

Payroll & Other
11. Overseeing updates in the HRIS to ensure accurate recordkeeping, reporting and database management for HR and payroll.
12. Evaluates and makes recommendations to revise internal processes to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
13. Provides guidance and assistance to the Human Resources team, managers, and employees, on various employee benefit plans, 401k, and payroll.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4-6 years of progressive compensation, benefits, and 401k experience. (Self-insurance experience is a plus)
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, Workers’ Comp, Social Security and DOL requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong vendor relationship skills
  • Must possess good training skills
  • Ability to work independently and with others, including co-workers and all levels of management. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the HR Benefits field
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and be confidential
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work on several key projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to adapt to shifting demands
