Nissha Medical Technologies is looking for a Marker Assembly Operator to join our team on 1st shift 7:00AM-3:30PM Monday-Friday!

Job Summary

Manufacture and prepare products for shipment according to specifications using approved processes/procedures by performing all functions necessary to maintain effective and efficient flow of all materials through the Buffalo facility.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Perform all the manufacturing steps necessary to produce the metal components used in the manufacture of pens and markers including set-up and shutdown of equipment and proper storage of equipment/tooling and fixtures.
  2. Use print and work instructions to cut to length, buff, solder, bend, etch, spot-weld, assemble, and test metal stylus’ and pen arms and their components.
  3. Set up, operate, and changeover automatic and/or semi-automated marker assembly equipment to specifications, when needed.
  4. Generate material transfers and requests.
  5. Properly record production data as required.
  6. Communicate and coordinate with other departments as needed in an effective and efficient manner in order to complete production orders.
  7. Maintain quality records in accordance to Company guidelines and procedures.
  8. Maintain accurate raw material and component inventories.
  9. Other duties as assigned, inclusive of all other associate level tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Basic reading, math, and direction following skills.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, and execute production orders and operating procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and Management.
  • Ability to operate all required production equipment.

  • Ability to assemble small parts.
  • Manual dexterity and exceptional hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot.

Requirements

  • GED or High School diploma preferred. 
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with automatic/semi-automatic machine operation preferred.

Physical Requirements

Sitting: Remaining seated for a period of time, in one position. Rarely (0-25%)

Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. Continuously (75-100%)

Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Also includes finger dexterity. Continuously (75-100%)

Bending: Stooping, crouching, full back and leg flexibility. Frequently (50-75%)

Kneeling: Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees. Frequently (50-75%)

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Frequently (50-75%)

Lifting: Picking up and movement of objects. May involve carrying as well. Frequently (50-75%)

Climbing: Ascending or descending using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. Occasionally (25-50%)

Vision: Ability to see and recognize detail. (Corrected or uncorrected.) Continuously (75-100%)

Repetitive Motion: Recurring movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Continuously (75-100%)

Pushing/Pulling: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to provoke movement, or to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Occasionally (25-50%)

Twisting: Moving in a contorted motion, usually involving the back, and usually repeatedly. Frequently (50-75%)
