Job Summary
The Advanced Sourcing Manager is responsible for working cross-functionally with New Product Development, Global Supply Chain, Operations, and suppliers to move products from concept to launch.  This includes identifying and qualifying optimal sources of supply, providing insight and leadership to project teams, and ensuring effective coordination and execution of project milestones as they relate to the sourcing of products to support new product launches. 

Essential Job Functions
1. Process owner for Sourcing activities in support of New Product Development, supporting successful product launches by ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
2. Identify and develop prospective sources and supplier partnerships that bring needed technology and capabilities in alignment with the strategic objectives of the company.
3. Collaborate with cross functional teams across multiple sites to identify, schedule, and execute all sourcing related deliverables in NPD process.
4. Ensures compliance with all quality and regulatory requirements per company policies.
5. Establish and foster key relationships throughout the organization and supply base to execute on delivery and cost commitments.
6. Ensure project teams adhere to strategic direction of Global Supply Chain team.
7. Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to NPD processes to improve product launch metrics.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. 
  • 2+ years’ experience in purchasing or commodity management within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership capability with the ability to shape and drive change 
  • Strong problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work with teams and independently
  • PC literate with strong knowledge of planning systems/approaches and measurement tools essential
  • Understanding of project management process
  • Self-motivated to identify, analyze, and independently implement solutions to resolve issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Up to 15% travel
